Circleg
The Circleg project by Fabian Engel and Simon Oschwald is planning low-cost leg prostheses made from recycled plastic waste. Circleg combines two main topics: On the one hand, it addresses the recycling of plastic waste, and on the other, the use of a low-cost leg prosthesis in Kenya. For its production, the project wants to use plastic waste that is collected in Kenya and processed locally. The flexible leg prostheses are also to be produced in the country.

Keks Spoon
In Switzerland, disposable plastic cutlery is used en masse - contributing to environmental pollution. Nini Zhang's project aims to remedy the situation with a special disposable cutlery: an edible cookie spoon. Zhang plans to make the spoons in different variations from water and flour, following an old English recipe. Thanks to the mixture, a firm surface is created that fits well in the hand. Likewise, the spoon can be easily mixed with milk and sugar in hot drinks, for example. At the end of the meal the spoon disappears from the world - as a nice cookie in the mouth.

Tschiri Wurst
Around 52,000 tons of meat have to be disposed of in Switzerland every year at a cost. At the same time, all meat for Swiss organic cat and dog food comes from abroad. Its import generates high C02 emissions. Isabelle Hofmänner's project plans Demeter-certified cat and dog sausages made from slaughterhouse waste. By producing the sausages for four-legged friends in Switzerland, called Tschiri Wurst, the waste could be sensibly recycled and the C02 emissions reduced. Result: Dogs and cats enjoy regional, ecological, fair and healthy food.
